Time to reconsider posting all the screen shots in a single page, and just putting the URLs? This page is getting heavier to download by the hour :)

  29. Posted by Velmont 20th February, 2009 at 08:20 am |

Skjerp dykk UiO!

Forresten hev eg hatt ei raud varseling på bloggen min i fleire år, men turde ikkje fyreslå det for Universitas fyrr nokon andre tok andsvar ;-)

If you want to easily check out how a website looks in a different browser, try IE Netrenderer: http://ipinfo.info/netrenderer/. It has it's limitations, but it's great as a basic tool.

  31. Posted by Peter Haza 20th February, 2009 at 10:02 am |

That the tool I've been using to get the majority of the screen shots.

  32. Posted by Joacim 20th February, 2009 at 10:07 am |

http://www.filmbyen.no burde legges til i denne lista!

  33. Posted by torkil 20th February, 2009 at 10:09 am |

Oh okay, I just read: "Being on a Mac, I have no easy way to actually see these warnings. I thought it would be cool to see, so I started asking around for screen shots."

So I thought I'd help you out ;)

One of the big challenges in this campaign is to get the big companies and universities to upgrade the browsers. This is not done over night, but I hope the campaign is creating enough pressure from the company employees on their IT departments, that the change will be made.

  39. Posted by Peter Haza 20th February, 2009 at 10:28 am |

There has been taken a different approach already. Making fun or insulting IT bosses wont really help much. It's not an easy job to keep 1000+ computers up to date and at the same time have them working everywhere.
However, we really hope this campaign is creating pressure from employees on their IT departments to make the switch. The switch isn't impossible, it's just a big task.

I know there have been posted some stats already claiming that the campaign doesn't have the big effect, but I think that's mainly because making this switch in big companies takes planning, and isn't done overnight.
For instance does this message indicate that something is happening.
“Har en kompis p 0048else Nord IKT, de oversvm006d00650073 av forespr0073006c0065r om oppgradering fra #ie6 til IE7! :D

  45. Posted by Peter Haza 20th February, 2009 at 12:54 pm |

  46. Posted by Peter Haza 20th February, 2009 at 12:55 pm |

Mitt inntrykk er at det er veldig mange bedrifter som har som ml0020 006fppdatere n 0069 2009, det ser vi jo ogs 0069 statistikkene fra fr002000610076.

  48. Posted by SOL bruker 20th February, 2009 at 01:45 pm |

  50. Posted by Peter Haza 20th February, 2009 at 01:51 pm |
